The League of Women Voters of the City of New York Education Fund is a nonpartisan educational organization whose purpose is to promote informed and active participation in government.
We welcome involvement from New Yorkers of all backgrounds -- men and women who are long-time New Yorkers, or those who are new to our city. |
|  | | Founded on June 2, 1919, as an outgrowth of the Women's Suffrage movement The League of Women Voters has assisted citizens in exercising their political rights. The League believes that democracy depends on the informed and active participation of citizens in government and is committed to empowering them with information needed to make sound decisions for our democracy. |
